Indefinite leave to remain in UK for elderly depend

Hi there

I have applied for my mother’s indefinite leave to remain the UK as an elderly dependent relative. Does anybody know how long UKBA is taking on applications like these. I know the website says upto six months but are they actually taking this much time.

We have applied for 5 months now and have not heard anything from UKBA yet. If UKBA is holding on to the application longer, is it an indication that the application will be successful.

Any advise will be highly appreciated.
