using point based calculator for ILR from HSMP intial grant

Post by BACK_TO_GB » Tue Jul 10, 2012 1:51 pm

Hello,

am confused about how to use the calculator for ILR, based on being currently on Tier 1, after intial grant of HSMP in 2007.

Steps to follow:

A) Select the Tier for which you are applying --> Tier1 HIgh Value Migrant
B) Select the category of Tier 1 for which you are applying --> Tier 1 General
C) Where are you applying from? --> INside UK

D) What type of application are you making???

--> Extending your stay in the United Kingdom ?? is this corect?

then if so..

E) Enter the date of your first successful Tier 1 application.

--> would all from this point apply for tier 1 dates?

at which point on this form would I use dates related to HSMP?

thanks,

Click on the help link that appears against the question and read the guidance on what to enter here. It states what you should do if you entered the UK as a HSMP migrant. It's not the Tier 1 date you enter here.

after I enter the date for my tier 1 application I get this question:

Are you in the UK under the Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP)? If you think you may be covered by the terms of the HSMP Forum Judicial Review Policy Document see 'Help on this question' before answering this question.

>> Yes OR >> NO?

I used to be under HSMP but am under Tier 1 now!

Hi,

your answers to ABC are correct,
D: answer is correct - extending your stay in the UK
E: 29/02/2008

I've done mine own calculation and it was ok with the above information, I'm in the same date category as yours , HSMP to Tier 1

Good luck.
