Wifes pregnancy good reason to invite my mother to visit UK?

Post by seri-ous » Fri Jul 13, 2012 10:04 am

Hi,

I was planning to invite my mother to visit UK as a family visitor for 6 months to be with us when we welcome our first baby. Is it safe to mention the reason for her Visit as for supporting my wife during her pregnancy?

I have read a few posts that said its not ideal to give this reason and a few posts that say its ok ...... I just wanted to be 100% sure before I go ahead and add this reason.

My mother is unemployed and she hasn't got any properties in her name in India .... I will be fully sponsoring her trip to the UK .... She lives with my father(retired) and my brother(working).

I have no other documentation to show her ties to India other than the fact that she lives with my family in India .... that's one reason why I want to mention the real reason for her visit in my invitation letter which is : Wife's pregnancy.

Any kind of advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
VS

I have called my mother/father during my wife's pregnancy with the sole reason to help out during this time.
