Payment Method - Postal Order or Credit or Debit Card

Post by sujyo » Tue Jul 17, 2012 9:25 pm

Tier 1 General visa expiring in October 2012.

I am bit afraid to pay by credit or debit card since the Fraud detection team may stop the paymnets whihc would be 1800 + 900 for my wife.

Any experiences if anyone has on this please share

Is it advisable to pay by Postal Order ? or by Credit or debit card should be fine.

I used one cheque for myself + 2 dependents for my successful tier 1 extension. Hence one Bank Draft should be fine.

If you tell your bank/credit card company in advance, you should be fine. However you just make sure you've enough limits/balance available on your card.
Yesterday only I got fees charged from credit card. I informed credit card company in advance about the amount and merchant information and asked them not to block transaction matching details I provided.

If you don't want to take a chance then I would suggest you to use Postal Order for payment of fees.

bank draft is the cheapest assured way of payment, cheque will add atleast 5 days of delay in clearing & POs are expensive, do you have a PEO appointment or sending through post ?

if PEO then check that they accept bank draft as a mode of payment, in 1 PEO they ask you to post the bank order a few days before your appointment & some dont accept bank drafts as payment

application fee of all members can be paid by 1 draft but dont forget to write the names at the back
