How strong is my EEA2 application - Should I wait to apply?

Post by tripping_donk » Thu Jul 26, 2012 12:14 pm

I am an Indian citizen getting married to my gf (Spanish) on 27th July 2012 in London.

She is an Indian by origin as well but holds a Spanish nationality. We plan to do our Hindu ceremony later in India.

My PSW Visa expires in Sept 2012.

We have been living together for almost a year now. Have tenancy agreement and other proof of that.

She was working with M&S as an accountant till 2nd July when she choose to leave her job after 1.5 years as she didn't like it too much. She is currently a job seeker and we have proof of applications and interview calls.

I am self-employed in UK as a consulting Actuary.

I have the following questions:

1) How strong is my application for EEA2?
2) Should I wait till she finds another job before applying?
3) What documents should I include in my applications?
4) Is there any format for cover letter that I should use?

Thanks

Are you planning to apply from UK, or after marriage in India?

From UK, you will apply as unmarried partner. They generally look for 2 years proof of cohabition.
