Maintainence fund for tier 1 dependent

Dear Experts,

I hope one of you can help me.This question might have been asked by others several time but i would be greatful.

If some one can give me clear answer.

I am on Tier 1 general visa since 2008. I am getting married in couple of months and my wife will
be applying it for dependent visa from india.

I would like to know

how much balance in total i have to maintain in my account and for how long ?

And can i maintain balance in her account.

Please help guys.
