FLR M query - full name not given on the degree certificate

Post by rajasekhar_you » Mon Aug 20, 2012 12:31 pm

hi all,

i am applying for FLR- M for my wife.

everything seems ok except the English language requirement, i am just planning to produce her engineering degree certificate , the uni & course can be found on the points calculator and is awarded 30 points. but one problem with that is , the name is in initials. first name with initials is give on the certificate. in india, some states issue certificate in this way .

can you let me know if that is a problem?

my wife has given the Life in the UK test , can she give this as English requirement although it doesn't say it is accepted for FLR-M.

also looks like for FLR-M married partners, there is no need for cohabitation docs. is it correct?

many thanks.

That should be fine, as it also happens in many other countries.

To be on the safe side, you can also add in any other proof such as last year results script etc. that shows her full name.

Hope this helps.

Hello I was on the same scinario, I get the letter from Naric showing that my wife degree is equavalent to uk standard but it dosent comment on the english, also I had a letter from her university saying that teaching language is english, but to be on safe side I didnt take the risk and take a test at English exam center (GESE Grade 2 (CEFR A1 Speaking and Listening only))

it cost 80£ and we got result in week time altough they say it take 3 weeks but still we get result early

if you got time you shlould do this as well, dont risk as you might loose full fees if case worker is stiff

If yourdegree is recognised in the NARIC system and you have confirmation letter of 'taught in English'. This should be fine.
