ILR Success @ Croydon- 22/8/12- HSMP + Teir1

Post by sanjana » Wed Aug 22, 2012 9:04 pm

I am ever so thankful to the creator and members of this forum for such an amazing contributions they make every day here.
Because of such wonderful and nice people here i am obliged to
give the details of my ILR approval today

Appointment at 9:50 am today
Booked 42 days in advance (BUT people here might not believe me that i
had tried seven nights from 2340 hrs 00:55 hrs and some times more
without a success.... yes i followed all tricks to constantly refresh / book a
dummy appointment beforehand {although this was before i was eligible
to apply for ILR) etc but nothing worked and this was the worse and most
frustrating part of my ILR Preparation.)

Arrived at lunar house at 9 am – allowed inside after bit of request
20 mins wait and security check done

By 9:30 Proceed to application check an token number given

9:50- payment – gone well without a hic cup- although my bank declined
to put a special flag for large transaction.

10:10 – Nice asian / west Indian lady took Biometric details. She did
mention its not busy at all this morning.

10:40 – called by the case worker- Caucasian lady- she used the window
while other case worker was working on some ones file- She said “ Give
me everything what you got in support of your application ”.........to be
truthful i did not expect this- but i have everything in separate folders.
See following link for documents list

http://www.immigrationboards.com/viewto ... highlight=

Total days away in 5 years= 83, maximum days at any time 29.

Then she said she is going to sit in the back office and work from there. I
must say i was not expecting this. I told her i will be sitting there –
pointing to a seat. She said fine.

TWO mins later i realised i have not given her the photocopies- started to
run like a headless chicken in the direction she walked. Luckily found her
talking to one of her colleague at a window. ( i believe she is a senior
case worker as she was giving advice to her colleague on a case- i
interrupted her quickly and said” excuse me i forgot to ask whether you
need photocopies- she said yes please. I observed one thing there was
no smile or much of communication from her side .........? bad day

Then the wait started. I guessed she will take 40 mins- as it was written
several times on this forum. After 30 mins or so i became attentive to
number calling and here you go my number called after 35 mins.

To my shock i saw her standing at a window without anything in her hand-
guessed something gone wrong, started to get palpitation, She said “
Here your documents and you will get a BRP in seven days” I don’t think
i heard it properly so said sorry what did you say- she said your
application is approved and will get BRP in post, your letter is on top of
the documents and she turned away- i said thanks and started to read the
letter.

Total time taken in and out within 2 hours.

So over all i wouldn’t say i have anything to complaint about Croydon
PEO.

Wish you good luck to those who are awaiting their application / approval.

Once again thanks to every one here.

Thanks.

@coolbuddy= Can you please share format of proof of address from your employer and GP, if possible? Thanks.

There is no standard format for GPs letter- it just list my name and the dates from which i registered with them and till date- as long as you got dates covered and your name on the letter you are fine. Employed letter states my name as says i am employed and was away during such and such time as paid annual leave. hope this clarifies. good luck

Received my BRP yesterday. So in all 35 mins to approve application and less 72 hrs to receive BRP. I would say this as a class service. Happy with my experiance at croydon. Good luck to those who are in the process .

Congrats Sanjana!!!

I wonder why a letter from a GP is required for ILR? Is it because to support your case for the days you are out of UK?

Also I see that you have got a letter from employer to confirm your paid leave for the days you are out of UK!!! Really Great Job!!! Do we really need to show the evidence to that extent? My PEO apptmt is on Thursday Sept 6th, I can't get such a document now in short time :-(
