ILR granted today, dependent had traffic convictions

Post by Joybv » Thu Aug 23, 2012 5:43 pm

Hi. We went for our PEO appointment today in Belfast. I was the main applicant with 3 dependents. My husband as my dependent had traffic convictions (driving a motor vehicle without insurance and no licence, a fine of £310) which would be spent on November 2015. I requested for DAT1 (police check) which showed the convictions. I reflected the convictions in my application but I didnot include the police check which I requested. Caseworker didnot ask any questions about the convictions. The appointment was for 10:30 am; arrived at 10 am and left UKBA building at exactly 12nn. It was a pleasant experience. The caseworker checked all the documents before asking me to pay. I am so grateful for all your help here. You've given me lots of informations. Please continue your good works.

Congratulations on your successful application.
So we know now it was your husband with the traffic convictions, as in all your previous threads you mentioned your friend's husband. Lol Does it matter now!!!

I have been reading a few of your posts as I am having a similar situation.

 I know. It was really my friend who applied ahead of me. As what I mentioned, her husband had conviction as well and the husband was granted only discretionary leave to remain. It was sad but I took a gamble for my family and ILR was granted. To conclude, you will not really know what the caseworker will decide for you.

Hey panther80, I suggest you apply here in Belfast. I think the caseworkers here are more considerate. They assess you documents first and tell you what is the decision or if you lack some documents before deducting your payment.
