What immigration rules apply to me?

My 1st tier general visa was granted to me on 25th of January 2010 but I specified that I will like to be in UK from 9th of April 2010 and my Visa was valid from 09/04/2010. I will like to know which immigration rules apply to me, is it the one before 6th June 2010 or the one after 6th June 2012.

Please your response will be very helpful as I am confused.

date on which your visa was granted...i.e before 6 June 2010...do keep the approval letter safe..you would need it when you apply for your extension...
