Bankers Draft: They asking for sort code account number and cheque number...


Is it my sort code and accpount no or banks? Where is the cheque number? :-s

A banker's draft is not your money; it's the bank's, coming from funds held in the bank's account, and that is why it's such a secure method of payment (assuming the bank is not going to fail). You need to put the sort code, account No, and cheque No. that appear on the draft. So not your own information.

At the bottom of the cheque the numbering sequence from left to right is Cheque number>sort code>account number.

I have the same questions. My banker's draft shows my bank account's sort code and account number as a reference. Which sort code and account number shall I fill on form?

Lucapooka is correct. Your details are not relevant as you have paid the bank and it is now effectively the bank paying. Therefore you need to put the banks details on the payment page.

you need to put the banks sort code & account number, not yours, the money has already left your account when bank issued the draft so put the numbers from the magnetic strip at the bottom of the draft
