Extensio--Does dependent have sperate acknowledgement letter

My wife and I applied Tier 1 extension at the same time

I got an acknoledgement letter which I can show to my employer . however this letter only have my name on it and my wife need a letter with her name to show her employer....

i know the letter said:' and any associated dependent apllications made' however there is no place clearly mention my wife's name.

do you think if HO can give us another letter?

I really doubt they will issue a letter. Just FYI, ack letters are issued by Durham, the agency which takes the payment, whereas the visas are processed by Sheffield.

You can give it a shot by writing to them, but it is very unlikely.

Alternatively you can give your wife's employer the Contact number for and they can cross check the name of the dependant

Your wife's employer should accept your ack letter since her original visa must be dependant on yours; so obviously the extension would also be dependent on yours.

Hi,
Acknowledgement letter comes under Main applicants name only. this letter should be sufficient enough for your wife's employer too.
If they insist you could action as mentioned above by providing phone number and your ref number to wife's employer for them to confirm.

Also, on biometric letter( not sure if u have received yet), you and each dependant will receive letter under their name, that one may help too.
