Tier 1 (General) dependant extension - previous refusal

Post by AngryCat » Fri Aug 31, 2012 1:15 pm

Hi all

I am currently going through the painstaking task of completing Tier 1 (General) extension forms. I am the main applicant and my spouse is my dependant.
During our initial application, his visa/entry clearance was refused as we were not married at the time, and the finding was that we did not submit sufficient evidence to show a relationship akin to marriage.
Following an appeal, he was granted entry clearance as we provided satisfactory evidence.

I would like to know whether I should provide a copy of the letter stating the refusal at that time? (This would be the evidence in relation to question E9 regarding whether or not he was previously refused entry.)

There is also a question regarding Home Office reference numbers. Should I list the postal reference number of this refusal notice in this table?

Thanks very much for your help.

Hi

My experience :

My wife Initial entry clearance Visa was refused due Maint funds.

I wrote in application form in Section "E" as below :

"Place : xxxxxx
Date of Application : xxxxxx
Reason for refusal : refused due Maint funds
Also attached the refusal letter"

I have recently attended my PEO and Got approved.
