ILR for British born child

Post by swordfish20000 » Wed Sep 05, 2012 12:00 pm

Hello Everyone...

First of all thanks to everyone on forum for sharing their experiences and to all seniors for valued advice.

My query is -

I got WP on 06Feb2008 - (Transferred to Tier1 now ) so I am eligible for ILR on 06Feb2013 - will apply for ILR 28 days before

1 - We have had our Child born in July 2012. Since we need to travel in Jan 2013; can I include my child for ILR in Jan 2013 along with my application.

Is there any need for him to become my dependant first before applying ILR with us or I can directly include him in my application.

2 - Once he gets the ILR - is it possible to apply for British Citizenship via MN1 at a later stage.

would appreciate your advice.

Thanks

Thanks for ur response. I have gone through the FAQ's

Just want to clarify -

- So the New born baby does not have to be on any Visa before including him along with me on ILR application.

- And the process would be -

Get Indian Paasport
Apply for ILR along with me
Travel India and back
Apply for MN1
Surrender Indian Passport
Apply for British Passport.

Your advice would be much appreciated

Thanks
