I just did a quick google search on this. It looks like "State Bank of Pakistan" is the regulatory body there in Pakistan.

Thanks guys for your reply .I also positively think it is State Bank of Pakistan. So we need to mention in the letter from bank that SBP (State bank of pakistan) is regulating the NBP. ??

For example. in England all banks are scheduled bank of Bank of england but regulated by FSA. And also u can find the list of all banks registered in england at FSA website..

Buddy, you are trying to help but unknowingly giving wrong information with wrong proofs. Check State Bank of Pakistan's website. Here is the link where they've clearly given the list of banks which it regulates:

http://www.sbp.org.pk/f_links/index.asp

National Bank of Pakistan is there in the list.

State Bank of India is a normal bank just like Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank, etc. These all are regulated by RESERVE BANK OF INDIA.

Thanks a lot Shaukat for such valuable information. As per your proof, I get agree too...But as the rajm2012 is saying it is SBP...which seems true as well.I am confused now what should i request the bank to put on the letter to make sure UKBA accept that.
Did someone got visa with proof as you described

Thanks in anticipation

@Smehmood

If you continue reading A13 in the policy guidance you'll see the para below:

"Central banks may also have supervision over some financial markets. For a list of international
central banks not registered with the FSA, we will use the list of central bank websites on the Bank
for International Settlements website at http://www.bis.org/central_bank_hub_overview.htm"

Now you can find SBP in the above link and on SBP website you can see a list of banks being regulated by SBP.

Yes, you do have to open a business bank account. You will need to show either the welcome letter from the bank or a statement.

Yes, I think that'll be better as that will keep no room for confusion for the case worker. :)

Guys

Let me clear the confusion.

I never said State bank of Pakistan is not Regulatory Authority.

Off course all banks are Regulated by State Bank of Pakistan

But when UKBA check the name of the bank they will go to security & exchange wbsite and check the bank name.

State bank gives permission to any bank in Pakistan to operate in pakistan.

its a system in every country which i describe in one of the example.

Dear applicant. I had given detail answer which someone did,nt under stand. State bank of pakistan should be on your letter. There is nothing to fight here.
I am saying again sbp and secop work togather. SBP Scheduled the banks. all banks in pakistan are on both sites. but again UKBA always check SECOP Website.

Actually i just went through the posts but i can not find one of my post which has example of banking system. i do,nt know may be i posted on wrong thread or submission did,nt went through.

i did,nt meant to give wrong info but in detail. Which i should,nt. i should have say state bank in simple words rather than going through the process.

Hope matter is resolve now
Shaukat
