Settlement for wife on spouse visa

Post by RoyW » Tue Sep 25, 2012 1:26 pm

Hello,
My wife will soon be applying for ILR, she is not working.

I am self-employed and my income last financial year falls well short of the £18,600 they now require.
I do however have savings in excess of £100k. The downside of this is seemingly they dont accept savings when you are self-employed!

In their new document

Annex FM Section FM 1.7
Financial Requirement

5.3.6 Category F Self-Employment

"Cash Savings cannot be used in combination with Category F".

Am i missing something?

Any suggestions very welcome.

Your wife comes under the old rules so this doesn't apply. Typically, the new form is confusing.

Thank you
