LTR, finally

Post by pixi » Fri Jul 09, 2004 2:17 pm

Last night I came home to find my passport stamped with three-year extension in the--gasp!--mailbox.

So, about six weeks from submission for me.

Well done Pixi.

Glad to hear that extensions are not taking that long...could you please share with the forum what you provided as evidence...

..I remember you arrived in the second part of your initial 12 month visa - just goes to show it can be done

Congratulations......

Hey GIRL...dont desert the forum now

Thanks. :)

That's right, I arrived six months into my first year, but I found work in a month and have been steadily working since. I'm self-employed.

I've got all the evidence at home and will write again later.

Pixi,
Congratulations !
3 year extension is from your initial visa expiry date or it is from the date you applied for an extension ?
Secondly, what the evidence you provided for being self-employed ?

Three-year period begins the day after date of expiry. Here's what I sent:

-cover letter explaining my economic activity
-latest bank statements
-P45
-recruitment agency letter saying I freelance through them
-invoices to clients
-timesheets
-letter confirming allocation of national insurance number
-letter from Inland Revenue confirming self-employed status
-receipt for payment of rent

Good luck, everyone!
