Which visa do I apply for to stay for only a year??

Post by LarissaAnn » Fri Oct 05, 2012 3:37 pm

Hello everyone,
I am a U.S. citizen getting married to a British citizen next year. We will marry in the U.S. then stay in the UK for about a year before settling in the States permanently.
Which visa would I have to apply for to achieve this?
Thank you so much,
Lori

The only visa you can apply for is - spouse of a British citizen - irrespective of how long you wish to stay in the UK.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!
