EC stamped for 2 years

Post by bashir2003 » Sat Jul 10, 2004 1:24 pm

Hi,

Any suggestion/advise I got my EC stamped in dec 2003 and it states expiry in Dec 2005.

Should i wait to file extension in 2005, or is this a mistake.

As per the notes EC is supposed to be for 1 year and then ILR next 3 years isnt it?.

Please advise.
Regards

it is not only you but there are some more people who got EC for 2 years. AJAYxyz is one of them. If you got 2 years EC thats your luck, rules changed now but you won't fall under the new rules. Anyway best advice is to e-mail H.O and ask for advice.

Bashir,
As i mentioned earlier, I have sent my Passport to DHC with an application to make EC for one yeare instead of 2 years.

By monday or Tuesday i'll be updating you people about this.

Bashir didn't you face any problem with 2 years EC, while landing in UK ?
No one asked any question about it?

As advised by some member on board, I wrote mail to HO office, but i have not received any reply on that..

Perhaps the mail id is not correct.

Can someone please advise how could i reach HOmeoffice on the subject of EC stamped for 2 years on my passport.

Should I submit for extension this year or wait till 2 year is passed, this is strange.

Did anyone face this problem, I mean all those members who are already in UK on hsmp.

Anyone having HO email contact wherein i can get some response.
Thanks & Regards

Hi everyone,

Regarding my EC of 2years.

I tried contacting HO several times, but the line is always engaged.

Secondly i also sent several mails to them as mentioned on HO webpage, they have not responded, even i sent to them FAX but so far no response.

Can anyone please guide me how can i get this sorted out.

Many Thanks.

Finally after 3,4 emails and one postal letter to the HO I got a favourable  reply in regards to my EC stamped 2 year issue.

Home office stated that I should file LTR before the end of 1 year and I should enclose covering letter stating that the EC was stamped by mistake for 2 years.

Well, what a relief to get the clarification.

I hope all those who get the EC > 1 year should get it corrected before flying in here..

Regards
Cheers. :)
