Cancel FLR(M) and apply from outside UK

Post by LE80 » Fri Oct 12, 2012 4:49 pm

Has anyone any experience with cancelling their FLR(M) application and then applying from outside the UK?

We are victims of UKBA's long waiting times. We always planned to go to Australia in December to see my partner's family, 9 months after applying for FLR(M). I know they say not to make travel plans but I never would have dreamed that a 9 month wait was at all likely! As December is getting closer we are in a awkward position. So I wanted to know if anyone has experience with cancelling a delayed application then applying from outside, and if so to find out how well that works.

Thanks!

I think you should write to your MP(http://www.writetothem.com/) about this and maybe you might get lucky and receive your documents with FLR on it.

Not advisable-if you withdraw and reapply you will be subject to the new rules.
