ILR Booking Information

Post by Harpz » Tue Oct 16, 2012 9:37 pm

Hi All,

I need some advice, I will be grateful if someone could shed some light or correct me where I am wrong please.

Will be booking Premium ILR appointment @ Croydon, what I needed help was on when I can book.

Husband arrived in U.K 18th February 2011. To my calculations I think I can book an appointment for 21st January 2013 and for this I need to book on 10th December @ Midnight.

Can I only book at midnight?

Thank you

Just to avoid the confusion, you need to book on the night of 9th of December ( Sunday) at 0000 hours when date changes to 10th :) if you want to book for 21st of Jan 2013 !

Due to high demand and over booking, dates get booked within few minutes after the midnight so it is advisable to try at midnight. Though, cancelled/reshdeduled slots can appear any time during the day but it is merely a lucky dip.

BTW, 28 days does not apply to dependents they must complete 2 years before the appointment day, so in your case, this date is wrong, IMHO. I am sure I have seen such posts on the forum, try forum search.

Husband is on a spouse visa. Arrived February 2011.

I have tried searching but most posts are for dependent a, hmsp or tier something.

Why did I think that he could apply 28 days before?? Now I'm really confused.....

can you describe your history in more detail please. This will help other forum mebers to help you. I am sorry I got the rules confused. I guess you are ok to go ahead with your application.

I got it confused with this scenario Main applicants of tier-1 are given a grace period of 3 months in case they enter the UK late after getting first EC but the dependents don't get this concession some times, depends on the CW. Your case is clearly different. Thats why they say a little knowledge ....

I am sure the senior members will shed more light on this.

Sorry for causing the confusion agian

Yeh, sure.

My history:

Met hubby in the uk, he had overstayed. He went back voluntarily in Jan 2010. We got married in India Feb 2010. Applied for spouse visa in march 2010, in June got refused (was expected) but used a crap refusal point. Went into appeal, I attended appeal hearing in Jan 2011 and won it right out. Hubby issued visa early feb 2011 and arrived into U.K 18th Feb 2011.

Now it's nearly time for ILR and getting prepared, hence the post.

Hope anyone can help.

Thanks
