ILR BRP with an expiry date

Hi guys,

I previously posted about the horrible wait for my ILR from SET (M). Just a recap (and maybe some hope to those of you still in waiting limbo):

Posted: 15th May 2012
Received: 18th May 2012
Biometrics: July 2012
Biometric card: 21st Sept 2012
Documents + passport: 24th Sept 2012

Total: 19 record breaking weeks.

However, on my Biometric Residence Permit card which clearly says 'INDEFINITE LEAVE TO REMAIN', it also states Valid till 30-05-2012. Can someone kindly shed light what this means? Do I lose ILR then or have to re-apply?!?
