Flr m confuson

Helo guys,
I am currently on tier 1 dependent. My husband is applying ilr under 10yr long residence. Our visa is expiring on 25-01-13. I have to apply through Flr M. Do i have to pass english requirement if so, esol with citizenship course wil be enough. I am applying seperately in jan as i my bank statements will be ready by then. My husband is applying in 3rd dec. so, i can put covering letter with my application explaning that my husband has applied under 10 yr residency.
