FLR(O) Decision time

Hi all,
I have applied for further leave to remain in UK in the category of FLRO, it has been three months of my application, 5 days after my application i received an acknowledgment letter. Is there any maximum time limit for FLRO? Last date of expiry in my biometric card is Dec 2012, but i had to apply earlier because of changes in my circumstances.
I have two problems at the moment:
1. My employer has terminated my employment because of the change in my circumstances. I am worrying that i may not be allowed to take on another position, so setting at home.
2. i want to change my address?
My application took longer than i anticipated...
i would really appreciate any advice?
