What next after ILR?

We recently just got our ILR after coming into the UK with HSMP in June 2007. We got our ILR in November. My question is what next?! How long do we have to wait to apply for British Nationality? And how long does it take for the application to be approved?
Secondly, since we came in with the HSMP visa which we had to spend 5yrs in the UK before applying for ILR, do we still have to wait for 12months to apply for British Nationality or we can do that immediately?
