Naturalisation residency requirement - 6 yrs or 12 mths ILR?

Post by Tier1_ILR_Applicant » Wed Dec 12, 2012 11:19 pm

Could someone kindly comment on when can I apply for naturalisation. My HSMP was stamped on 24/01/2007 (whilst in UK), ILR stamped 29/12/2011 which makes it 4 years 11 months on HSMP/Tier General plus 12 months on ILR = 5years 11months on 30/12/2012. Now is there a specific requirement where I have to be on HSMP/Tier 1 General and ILR combined for 6 years in total? If yes, then does that mean I cannot apply for naturalisation till 24/01/2013? or can i apply as soon as the 12months on ILR are complete which would be 30/12/2012. Thanks in advance!
