Forgot to pay council tax and summoned to court

I didn't turn up as I don't really open most of my letters. I know... this is bad.

Hence it has been passed onto the bailiffs.....I know.. it's bad... my fault.

I've since called the bailiffs and settled the full amount.

Since this is a civil matter, and not a criminal charge.

Will this effect my upcoming application?
