INCOME REQUIREMENT

Post by SAMISPOUSAL » Thu Dec 20, 2012 10:30 am

IF A BRITISH man wants to sponsor an Indian wife he has to have income of £ 18 600 ....
what if he has an income of £14 600 so a short fall of £4 000

how much savings does he have to have to make up for that £ 4 000 ?
how are savings treated ? what formula are you using ?

thank you

The formula is (shortfall * 2.5) + 16000

So in your case - (4000 * 2.5) + 16000 = £26,000

That'll have to be in your (or your wife's) account for 6 months prior to the application - and keep in mind that at the 2.5 year renewal - you'll have to show the same income levels again, so if your wife fails to work - you will need to show those savings again!
