OCI Postal Application - Documents Checklist

Hi,
I am planning to send application for me and family by post. I am planning to send following documents
1. Filled Application form
2. 51x51 photo pasted on the app form
3. Surrender certificate - Photocopy
4. UK passport photo page only - Photocopy
5. UK Naturalisation Certificate - Photocopy
6. Residency Proof - Waterbill photocopy
7. Marriage Certificate - Photocopy.

Is it enough or is there any thing else which I need to submit.

On CGI Birmingham website (http://www.cgibirmingham.org/index.php? ... es&id=10#3) - it mentioned as below

Postal applications should have at least two pre-paid self addressed envelopes (one for immediately acknowledging the receipt of application and the other for returning the original documents; while the first envelope could be first class, the second one to carry originals should be a special delivery pre-paid postage.
======================================
I don;t understand for special delivery pre paid postage as I am not sending any originals. If Special delivery postage require then do I need to send one or four i.e. separate for each member?

Please advice.

if by family u mean kids as well then their birth certificate photocopy is also necessary.

BTW you dont need any Residency Proof to be submitted if appplying with UK.

Thanks. I will add birth certificates as well.
Is there any other document require?

Can also comment on need for special delivery envelope if I am not sending any original. Please comment.

As you are not sending originals only one special delivery for acknowledgment is sufficient.

Question is whether originals are require? if yes then which documents i need to send as original.

Self attested photocopy of the latest residence proof such as utility bill will be required, this is the basis for concerned embassy/consulates jurisdiction.

Hi,
After going through CGI Birmingham FAQ section for OCI - I understand below
1. While submitting the application, there is no need to submit any originals (especially passports).
2. Once application process complete then to collect OCI card - need to send passports.

Is my understanding correct on this subjects.
Please comment.
