ILR to British Nationality!!

Post by semony » Tue Dec 25, 2012 1:10 pm

Hi all,

I need an advice regarding my immigration status please!!

I am married to my husband who is a British citizen for 3 years and a half. and once we got married I have not applied for spouse visa until one year after our marriage although we were living in the UK and the reason was that I was under a student visa at that time. Then I applied for spouse visa and finished the two year period and I finally had my ILR three months ago.

I am married now for three and a half years and I lived in the UK during the whole period. My question is: can I apply for British Nationality now as I have fulfilled the qualifying period or do I need to wait until one year of my ILR?

I appreciate your help.

Regards
Semony

You can apply now as you have been resident for 3 years.
