Life in UK Test

Hi guys
I know there have been some news that Life in UK test will be changed in Oct 2012. However when I visit the site they stil ask to follow the 2nd edition of the book which is based on 2001 census.
Can someone kindly confirm if it has changed at all and if someone is taking a test mid-Jan that is still with the old format?
I guess they will announce any changes at least a month in advance.
