ILR Success @ Croydon PEO on 07th Jan 2013

First of all, thanks a lot to all the moderators and the guys those replied my earlier queries for their excellent guidance.

Mine is 2 years HSMP + 3 years tier 1 general visa and with permanent job.
I submitted all the necessary standard douments and the process took 3 hours.

Only one thing I want to convey is that with 2 dependents I maintained £1000 for last 3 months.( though no maintainance is required.)

The other thing is the intial 60 days delay from the EC date to date of entry.

Hi Ravinder, Ravi,

On the same lines there is a question on Set(O) form on page 27 Section 9 D1

"Please confirm whether you have spent a continuous period of 5 years lawfully in the United Kingdom?"

Do we say yes for this? Even if we complete less than 5 years say 4 yrs 8 months & applying using 90 day late entry from date of stamping rule.

Please advise

Good Question Tahill77, but here you need to take the question in overall context or else the question itself makes no sense.

The question is with respect to: "D. Continuous Residence Assessment"

Secondly there is no way you can answer "No" to the questions.

So as I said earlier, you have to take the question in context, and therefore the answer would be "Yes".

I filled yes as I was not having any issues during my stay.

I think if you fill NO for some reason it will be automatically rejected.

We will wait for a moderator to reply.

The answer to this would be "Yes"

"7.11. How long have you lived in the UK?"

The answer to this would be the exact number of years and months you have lived in the UK from the date of your first entry.

A case worker would look at the answers to these two questions and apply concessions where necessary (E.g. 3 months late entry) to determine if you have met the continuous residence requirement for ILR, IMHO.
