Hi! dansid

Congratulations.

Thank you for sharing your Solihull PEO experience. I just want to know 2 things.

1. Were you not asked for 5 year P 60s.

2. Were the staff very friendly and polite?

Congrat's dansid! Could you also add which immigration category you applied under? E.g. HSMP+T1G or WP+T1G etc...

Hi Dansid,Hearty congratulations!

One question, why you left 6.3 question blank? We are supposed to obtain letter from employer for the periods of paid annual leave right?

I have made 3 short trips which amount to a total of 40 days of paid annual leave altogether. Do I need to obtain a letter from employer stating that these were the periods of my annual leave?

Please clarify

Hi varre_v,

Only if you are under T2 category....for T1G no need to supply any letter at all. I had number of trips holiday+business trips but the case worker didn't asked for any evidence as it was less than 180 days.

I hope it clarifies...

dansid,

Please can you let me know how you answered sections 7.11 and 7.12?
I am confused about 'how long have you lived in the UK'..is it the ILR qualifying period or total length of stay in UK as I was on student visa for 3 years before my WP for 5 yrs.

Also, how did you answer 'what ties have you with'..

Would be grateful if you could shed some light..

Congrats dansid,

i wasn't aware that letter from current employer confirming employment was required for Tier 1 General migrant. Is this really the case?

Also, just out of curiousity, did you have any absences that were unpaid leave? if you did, how many days were they? And what reasons did you give under section 6.2?

Hi

@satmvv: You need to calculate that from the day you got your WP stamped. i assume you were in UK when u got it right?

For ties you can enter your country of birth and write Family and Friend ties. Also if u have spend more than 5 year in any other country do mention that as well

@ Bildor: Well it depends on your case worker as per Section 5 (Finances) you need to prove your finances. In my case my salary slips were from my ex-employer so the case worker asked me for letter from current employer. (Check on pg 44 bottom section)

thanks

Bildor@ again if you are on T1G then you dont need to worry about unpaid leaves at all. I just stated Holiday for all my absence.

Hello Dansid,

My continuous residency is a combination of WP + T1 (Gen). Although I am currently on T1 (Gen) visa all my annual leaves were taken while I was on UK work permit visa. That's why I am asking you if the letter is really required?

I was on WP and now on T1G.

But I am taking a letter from the employer with whom I was on WP to be sure.

Thanks for the response. Yes, I was in UK when I got the WP stamped, that should make it 4 years and 11 months. However, I asked my HR about the question and they have contacted company solicitors who read it differently. They seem to think that "how long have you lived in the UK" refers to total length of stay in UK, including my student period, as there is no special mention on qualifying period. I am still in dilemma, did you have a similar situation? , as in student before work?

Congrats

I just wanted to ask all that, why do they take 2 to 3 hours or may be more and what kind of checks they do by this time.

Like verify employment etc

Thanks
