Successful ILR at Solihull PEO - 18 Jan 2013 (HSMP + Tier 1)

Post by kamb1ng » Sun Jan 20, 2013 8:32 pm

Hi all. Thank you very much for this fantastic forum and super helpful members.

I applied with 2 dependants (wife and daughter). During the day also tagged along my 3-yr old son whom I didn't include in the application because I plan to apply UK citizenship for him.

We live 2 hours drive away from Solihull and was originally planning to drive on the morning of the appointment day. However after seeing the heavy snow storm forecast for the day, decided to drive the night before and stayed at a hotel. We stayed at Ramada Solihull, which has free parking and is a 15-minute walk away from the PEO.

Appointment was at 10:40.

-Arrived at 10:00
-Passed through security and was given a number
-At 10:30 called to see officer. He asked to see documents one by one. He then asked for photocopies of everything at once at the end.
-At 11:00 officer was happy and told me to pay and wait to be called for biometric
-At 11:15 we were called for biometric
-At 12:20 we were called to see officer again. He congratulated us and returned all original documents.

Documents requested:
-Set (O) form
-Passports, including the one containing the student visa I originally used to enter the UK (wasn't expecting this but luckily brought it along)
-Photos
-Life in the UK pass certificates
-Payslips (12 months)
-Bank statements (12 months)
-Daughter's birth certificate
-Our marriage certificate
-Cohab documents (3 years council tax bills)

Hope this is useful for some people. Thanks again.

Dear kamb1ng many many congratulations to you and your family on this success.
I am sorry to bother you but will be really very very thankful to you if you help me by giving the answers of follows queries please because i also have my PEO appointment at solihull next month.

1. what was the payment method at Solihull please?
2. were you Employed OR Self employed OR Employed+ Self employed?
3. Age points you were awarded at your Very first HSMP Visa and your age at that time?
4. Age points you were awarded at the extension of HSMP and your age at that time?
5. Age points awarded to you at this ILR application time and your current age please?

Actually i want to confirms whether you were awarded the exact same Age points at all your three applications i.e
HSMP Entry Clearnce, HSMP Extension and ILR Application

Dear brother I am waiting for your kind reply and will be very grateful to you for your help in this regard. Thanks

Hey bro, here are my answers:

1. I used Mastercard credit card
2. I was employed
3. 30 (5 points)
4. 32 (0 points)
5. 35 (0 points)

So I was not awarded exact same age points at all three applications. To be honest, I don't think it matters. As long as you have enough points in every application stage, you'll be approved.

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much dear for your kind reply.

Hi seniors gurus please can you explain this that why this person was not awarded 5 age points (which were awarded to him in his very first application) in his later two applications times i.e at HSMP Extension and ILR application.

I am asking this question again and again because ukba rules and many posts in this forum say that age points at the ILR application times are awarded on the basis of the age at the time of Initial HSMP Visa grant and not on the basis of age at the HSMP extension time.

Seniors please post your comments as it has already happened to one of the fellow at liverpool PEO.

1. Keep trying every night between midnight and 2am.
2. Because I heard positive feedback about it.
3. Joint bank accounts (past 12 months) and council tax bills for the past 3 years.

No need for photocopy of the filled Set(O) form (unless you want a copy for personal records).
