Tax returns question.

Post by zyx2007 » Sun Dec 31, 2006 9:54 pm

Hello HSMP experts,

I have multiple questions please help me sorting the confusion.

1. I have P60 (2005-2006) from my current employer, I have been working with the same company since June-2005. In this case what should i submit for my earnings proof.

a) P60
b) Bank statements from Apr-2006 to till date
c) Payslips from Apr-06 to till date.

Is that enough or should i need to submit past 12months original payslips + original bank statements?

2. Age related question. Is it ok to provide attested passport or Is birth certificate is mandatory? guidance says nothing about alternatives if we cant provide birth certificate or UK driving licnese.

3. Previous earnings: I have not received any p60 forms from my previous companies this is the problem with bodyshoppers. Since i have been working in the current company from more than 16 months, i thought its not needed to fill the previous company earnings. Please correct me if i am wrong. I am bit nervous to fill the application form.

Cheers,

As ITR is not covering, I suggest u to attach 2 other evidences for 12 months with the ITR. They can be Sal slip, bank statements, emp letter.

all shud be original.

Give gud reasons why u cannot provide birth cert or DL, Yes with exceptional consideration u can attach Notary attested Passport copy.

U need to fill earnings for 12 months u r claming, does not matter it is from one comp or 2 companies. Attach proofs for those 12 month period only will be sufficeint.

What is my main concern is since P60 is covering till mar-06. should i submit jan-6,feb-06, mar-06 payslips or just 9months payslips and p40 are enough?

And this p60 amount is only having 9 months of previous year from my current employer. If they devide the p60 amount /12 . i will be in big trouble. Will HSMP people automatically know what was my monthly salary by cing the p60 or should i explain all of these in the application form. or its better put past 12 months bank statements and payslips. I have to request bank and my employer for my payslips n bank statements in that case.

Cheers,
Zyx.

I saw few cases in last month where ppl were rejected for not submitting evidences even they provided ITR covering the partial period.

Yes, go for the 12 months sal slips + bank statements. Do attach ITR also.

Yeah u need to tell them ITR covers partial period and u need to do calculatio for them in cover letter or attach some sheet.

Hope it helps!

pramjit,
even i am in a similar situation. I dont want to risk and get rejected.
So i am thinking of waiting for P60, but when do i get P60 Do i get it immediately after 06 April 2007 or will there be few months delay.
Coz I can wait till May end as I will reach age 28 in June.
thanks,
Drake

why not go ask your employer...or other employees who have been working with the company since the end of previous financial year???

They'll have much more realistic idea of when YOU will get YOUR P60, than the rest of us on here who seem to be just hmsp applicants (not accountants/immigration lawyers)

Yeah Drake, Employer is most suitable person to answer this question.

hang on, what period do you have to claim for ?

if your last tax return doesnt cover ALL of that period (which will be most people) - you will still have to supply it

for the other part of the year, that the tax return doesn't cover, you will have to provide all the other evidence of pay.

I dont think Advance tax forms would be sufficient evidence as it doesnt prove what you earned. Its just a payment of tax based on your current earnings at that earlier point in time. For every month after you paid the advance tax - you may have earned nothing...
I cant remember what the forms even look like. HMRC send them to me, but my company tells me to ignore them because they automatically pay it.

well i am no tax or immigration expert - just another HSMP wanna-be

but the only `tax return` you have filed is "aug 2005-march 2006".

the advance tax is just an intermediatery thing...not a tax return as such. For all months April2006 and later - you should submit at LEAST 2 forms of proof

You can ring Work Permits and ask them about the advance tax document, but i'm willing to put 50quid on them saying no, nO, NO :)

Yes, the Advance Tax document may not satisfy the requirements. So, for the period from April 2006, one needs to provide two acceptable forms of proof (Pay slips / Bank Statement / A letter from the Employer)

Need Help - APP Rejected with "NO ORIGINAL ITR SUBMITTE

Post by nakvis » Sat Jan 06, 2007 7:36 pm

Hi,

My application is rejected with reason "Not submitted original Income Tax Returns".

I have submitted SARAL Form with STAMP on it as original income tax returns. They have refused to accept it as proof.

Has anyone have any ideas on how to convince them that the SARAL is the original IT Returns for Indian Income. Should I resend them the SARAL along with request for review. (Request for review form says NO ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED).

Please help me in handling this case.

Thanks
