ILR Applicattion - Appointment date

Post by sreevan » Wed Feb 06, 2013 7:43 am

Hi,
My details:
Initial visa grant : 22/03/2008
First entry : 16/06/2008 (86 days after)
visa expiry : 22/03/2013

I have a PEO appointment on 25 Feb 2013(25 days before expiry).

Can I apply for ILR 28 days before my visa expiry i.e on 25th Feb?

I am confused because some people arre saying I should finish 4 years 9 months by the time I am applying i.e I should book an appointment on 18 March onwards and my visa is expiring on 22 March.

Could you please advice me on this?

My two pence - I think you should be alright applying on 25th Feb.
I will be happy to be corrected by others if this is not quite right.

Thanks for your prompt reply, its very helpful.

All my bills are on my name and I don't have a joint account with my wife, but my wife get her bank statements and payslips.
Could you please tell are these enough for address proof?
Should my wife need to provide all the payslips and bank statements for 2 years?

If you are going for PEO, take all and submit only a few unless asked.

If you are applying by post, I would recommend use some that are issued at regular intervals, say, 6 months apart starting from the beginning of the 2 year period.
