is't better to go for one day service or postal Tier2(G)Ext

everyone i have booked in service appointment on 1st march Belfast.

i need some advice for my Tier 2 Ext .my visa expires on 15th April and book visa date on 1 st March

1.is it better to apply by post or in person i don't know the postal time scale my friends saying these days Home office taking 3-4 months is it right? because i need to travel to India in April.

2.if i go on 1 st March visa will issue from March 1st or April 15th.
anyways i took COS for 3 years for my ext. (initially it was 3 years)
to be safe side for my ILR i took 3 years COS.

3.Agent is charging £500 to go to case worker i think i am paying much money.its a pretty much straight Application.

please suggest me am i doing anything wrong.

1. Apply by same day service, it can take about 3-4 months as waiting becomes torture.
2. It will be issued from March 1 I think
3. If its straightforward and you know what docs you would need to submit, do it yourself. Solicitor is a waste of money. Good luck

i would go for same day service but i need to go throuh my Agent even though striaghtforward case because he booked the appointment i think io cant avoid loosing money.
