Family Visitor visa OR General visa for Parents

Dear,

I have a query on applying a Visiting Visa for my Parents.

I am on Tier1 General Visa and wish to apply visit visa for my Parents so that they can be here in the beginning of April 2013.

Do I have to apply visa for them as a Family Visitor or a General visitor?

Please help.

As they are visiting someone who is on Tier 1, they will have to be General visitors.

So, Either for Tier1 or Tier2 the parent visa processing should be done under General Visitor category. Are we sure about this.

Because one of my friend had invited his in laws last year under Family visitor.

I am confused on this.

They are sponsoring themselves i am just inviting them and i m providing food and accomodation. my parents are in USA n green card holder

what documents do me n my parents have to provide?
