Is 7 days before LR expires enough to submit an application?

Is 7 days before LR expires enough to submit an application?

I am planning to submit an ILR application 7 days before my current leave to remain expires (postal application). I am just wondering if this can cause any issues or questions with the case workers as why I am leaving it a bit late?
The only reason I am going to submit at that time is that I have an important travel abroad and need my passport.
