Mistake in salary payment

Post by Aligul » Wed Feb 27, 2013 3:19 pm

Hi There

I am about to sponsor my spouse. But there is an error. I am sending 12 months payslips and P60 for 2010-11 & P 60 for 2011-12 showing over £19,000 each. But in july 2012, my employer made a mistake in salary payment but rectified by making a second payment. both the payments add upto and match with the payslip amount. I heard someone was refused for the same reason. is it something I need to worry about. Do i need to explain this. Many Thanks for any advice.

If your gross annual income is above 18,600 and the last six months payslips have at least £1550 before tax, then you do not need to submit 12 months payslips - 6 months is enough.

first question to ask is whether you meet the annual income requirement... then, if you must submit the 12 months payslips, a supporting letter from your employer highlighting the mis-payment should be sufficient. And if you submit all other documents perfectly; they would contact you if they have doubt on this minor issue.

An entry clearance manager has informed me that if it is just one minor error; they would contact the sponsor or applicant to clarify... but don't rely on this.
