passport interview - presence of another person

Post by boloney » Thu Feb 28, 2013 8:52 pm

is it possible to take someone to the interview?
I`m asking because my wife when she get nervous may have trouble with answering the questions(English is`t our first language). Will that be possible that I can attend it with her and help her little bit?I mean she will know the answers but maybe little bit tricky to give them in English.

No. As this is a identify interview so she is the one that needs to answer the questions. British citizens are expected to be able to communicate in English.
She should not worry about the interview. It's an interview about her identity, not her level in English. She should be familiar with all the details she wrote on the application form (dates, names etc).

thanks. she is, there will be only truth. I know that British Citizens are expected to be able to communicate in English, and she is but sometimes she is thinking too much about how other will see her and all that. just was wondering if that will be possible. now is clear that will have to get it done.
and i`m even happy with it, she will have to do it on her now, right now is `make appointment there, make another one there` thats is doing my headache :)

Ask IPS office while booking the interview. They ask if you have any special need.
