Has decision been made?

Post by hsmp28122006 » Thu Jan 11, 2007 9:43 am

Got this email from hsmp.workpermit on 09/01/2007:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear applicant

A decision has now been reached on your application under the Highly
Skilled Migrant Programme. I understand that you wish to have your
documents transported by courier. Unfortunately, the HSMP team are unable to make courier arrangements on your behalf. Although we are more than happy to facilitate your use of a courier, we request that you make the relevant payment and collection arrangements with the courier service in question.

We are unable to sign any collection documents or air waybills. Please
discuss this matter with your courier before arranging a collection.

Please also inform the courier company of the following when making
arrangements:

o You are paying for the carriage as the recipient, not the sender.
o Our office hours are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. There is no
guarantee that someone will be available to dispatch your package outside
of these hours.
o Your HSMP reference number (HSMP 2024xy)

Once you have made arrangements, please contact the HSMP team to
inform us which courier company is being used and the expected collection
time.

Please note that the HSMP team will not pass your documents to a courier
unless we are satisfied that the courier has been appointed by yourself
and that the HSMP team will not incur any costs as a result of
transporting your documents by courier.

Yours sincerely
HSMP TEAM

Now the issue is, whenever I call them, they always say decision has not been made yet - it's still under processing. I called them on 9th, 10th, 11th and got the same old response. I emailed them but they do not seem to reply any email.

Following is the help I require from you:

1) Email looks like they are in mis-impression that I am going to arrange the courier to pick up my docs - I have never said so. What should I do/think?
2) Has anybody else got the similar email from hsmp?
3) What should I understand: decision made/not made?

Thanks a lot!

It means that you have sent a letter that you would arrange for a courier. As it is Royal Mail takes a long time to reach. So you can book a collection and pay for it later. It does not say anything about what the decision is

Thanks
Deepak

I have never sent the letter that I want to book a courier. When I call them up, they always say decision has not been made yet. And I can sense from the above email that decision has been made.

They write very cryptic english:

"A decision has now been reached on your application under the Highly
Skilled Migrant Programme."

It may also mean that applicant's decision (that he/she wants to arrange courier) has been reached!

I also happen to receive wrong email. My application was with caseworker for more than 2 months (application received under old rules) and yesterday i got email reply stating

Dear applicant
Thank you for your e-mail. Your case is currently awaiting
consideration. We have received your urgent treatment request 06/01/2007
Regards HSMP Team

Here they are saying its not allocated to caseworker and I never requested for Urgent request. I dont know may be the poor fellow might have copy/pasted contents and hit reply on wrong email.

But listen hsmp28122006, by change have you sent urgent request on the same date.

I am asking because I am expecting my result to be out soon and I have asked for courier pickup. :)

No, this is not urgent request.
In above email sent by them, I find correct hsmp reference number mentioned. So, how could this email be for person other than me?

Hi,

Looks like, Ctrl+C; Ctrl+V

Hope the decision is not Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V.

I definately believe that the person who replied to your email made a mistake and same happened to me. But I am still surprised how come he has written correct reference number. Just call and speak to them once again and tell them you received email stating the decision has been reached on so and so date and ask the guy to double check.

Thanks

I already did that. They say it might be the possibility that caseworker did not notify us so we did not update our database accordingly!

If this one has come from Caseworker's mailbox then it might be true what they are saying but if you have asked for update on your case by sending email on hsmp.workpermits@homeoffice and got reply like this then probably it is a mistake!!

Decision Made

Post by flamenco » Thu Jan 11, 2007 12:48 pm

I received the same email from the caseworker herself saying that a decision has been made on my application and that I would have to arrange the courier myself which I did. Courier will pick it up today and hopefully I will get it Saturday or may be next Monday. I called her to request if she can disclose the outcome of the application which she refused. Lets see what it turns out to be. Wish me luck friends!!!!

y don't u try faxing them the letter u have received along with a letter written by you with your doubts...send them together and mention all your details...ref no. etc...i think after the receipt of fax they might be able to hand it to the relevant department with your concerns....explain the situation clearly...
