Calculating time period.

Post by jaberdene » Thu Mar 07, 2013 7:16 am

Hi all
Back to 2005, one of my visa was valid until 14 March 2005. Then applied new application on 12 Apr 2005 which was the application raised date. Under the immigration rules term, how many days I overstayed in this time period? Is it 28 or 29?
Did I have a valid leave on 12 Apr?
Cheers

No you would not have had valid leave as your application was made out of time. Section 3C which "extends" your leave is only valid for applications made in-time.
Do not send me PM's with specific questions - post question in the open forum so others can also benefit from the answers.

I think you misunderstood my question.
I didnt say I had valid stay on those days. I just wanna know how many days I overstayed until I made new application.

Not sure submitting an application on 12/4/05 after prior expiry of 14/3/05 would automatically bring you in line (out of overstay) on the application date itself. Technically you would not have had a legal leave once your existing leave expires, and until your new leave is granted, IF you were not covered by 3C.
Please do not send me PM if I haven't sent you one yet.
