Tier 1-(G): Dependent Child NOT TAKING THE PICTURE AT P.O

Post by shughal » Mon Mar 11, 2013 5:03 pm

Hi All,

I am in a very strange situation. I have just applied for the Tier 1 (G) extension along with 3 dependents. I have received the Bio Metrics and did go today for the pictures and finger prints. All gone smoothly but my 3 years old daughter absolutely refused to get into the small curtain-oriented picture room.We have been trying for hours but she does not sit on the chair and starts crying as gets in to that room. Post office staff tried 3 times at three different occasions but couldn't 't go through. They said they can't do any more and cannot deliver any further unduly distress to the child as it is unfair to the child so you need to contact UKBA asking them IS THERE ANY EXEMPTION FOR SUCH A CASE.
If someone can help on the form then I am really looking for it and many thanks in advance.

Regards to All.

Hello Sughal,

I had similar situation 2 years back when my 1 yr old daughter refused for photograph, we were given 3 chances after which I have been told by a friendly case worker that I can come back after few days and get it done. I applied via. Postal and had enough time for my extension. We booked the appointment again after 2 weeks and during this time we almost took her to every possible photo studio and tried the same, initially bit painful but after few trails she got used to closed environment and flash, until the last day we did the same.

On the day I went inside first and told the person at the counter that we were here last time and explained the situtaion for which they have agreed to do it ASAP. They took around 3 snaps and then they asked the case worker if the photo was fine, as she had some tears in her eyes, but since the child below 5 years, she is given some exemption from the normal photo guidance and they accepeted.

Hope you will get over with this situation next time, all the best...

Thanks,
Karthik
