Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General

Hi All

I came to UK on Tier 2 ICT Established staff in March 2011, then my visa got extended last month to Tier 2 ICT Leave to remain till 2015. Can you please help me to confirm whether I am eligible to switch to Tier 2 General. I have read various posts in this forum, but couldn't find any satisfactory answer. Please help me out.

Possible,

if you are applying to switch sponsor.

Thanks Vinny for the quick response, so just to confirm again, even after extension if my visa status changed to Tier 2 ICT Long Term leave to remain, I will be eligible to switch. Actually this has created lot of confusion,so your answer will be very helpful.
