Migration advice for doctors

Dear experts,

My friend from Venezuela is a doctor and would like to know if there is a short cut for him to get into the migration process easily.

As I know medics were in the shortage list in the UK is that still the case?

there is no short cut / special provision for doctors anymore. permit free employment category was withdrawn long back. medics are not even in the shortage list - there are plenty UK graduates completing their courses, plus doctors from EU - as a result tier 1 immigrant doctors were even restricted from taking training posts (which were sought after medical jobs).
