Tier 2 General - List of Documents

Hello Experts,

I am applying for Tier 2 General visa from Pakistan, along with my wife and 2 kids. I would appreciate if one of the gurus could take a look at the documents I am submitting and advise if I've missed anything. Also, I am a bit confused about

some of the documents that apply to multiple applications but I only have one original of each. For example, Family Registration Certificate supports all 4 applications, but I cannot have more then one original certificate. Same for

Bank Statement and Letter from Employer certifying maintenance. What should I do about this? Should I attach the original document to my application and provide photo copies for others or just include the original?

Finally, I've ticked both Own Funds and Maintenance Certified by Employer in Appendix 5 because I satisfy the maintenance requirement both ways. Do you think this is okay?

Here is my list as a dependent of skilled worker (Tier 2 General) applicant


Must :

0) Current Passport
1) Printout of Online Application Form (VAF10)
2) One passport sized colour photograph.
3) Marriage certificate
4) TB Clearance Certificate
5) Maintenance funds - Bank Statement
(need to show 600 pounds in saving account for a continuous period of 90 days immediately prior to application)
6) Husband's passport and UK visa page


Supporting Docs (which would be good to provide for a strong case)
1) For Relationship evidence :
* 2 Wedding Photographs
* Receipt from Marriage Hall where Marriage ceremony held
2) Husband's Last 6 payslips
3) Cover letter from Husband would be advantageous (Mentioning his NI number, employment details etc.).
4) Husband's Tenancy agreement (for last 6 months)

the list you have put on is spot on. The docs are more than enough.
Note that i will suggest that if your sponsor has stated that they will sponsor you and your family for first month than u can leave the bank statement. Also note that coz u have 2 kids as well, ur maintaince allowance will be more.. (900 + 1800 for 3 depedends), and this is only in case your employer is not supporting.

as someone else has mentioned about the wedding pics, u should not have problem for ur family visa as you are married for some time and have kids together which show length of relationship.
