Tier 2 General Visa [Applying Privately]

Hi everyone. I am currently working in Chennai,India as an IT consultant for 3 years. I am planning to apply for Tier 2 visa general on my own (personally) . After acquiring the visa, I am going to quit my present job , fly to UK & search for contract jobs. Could anyone help me in getting A rated sponsors offering visas and assured contract jobs to apply?

Hello,

What exactly do you mean when you say you plan to apply for tier 2 general personally? The Tier 2 Visa is something that applies to people who are sponsored by companies unlike the now defunct Tier 1. I think there still might be ways to get a Tier 2 being a contractor, but I am not much knowledagble about it.

Also do give the Policy Guidance for Tier 2 a good read.
