Passport with UKBA, how 2 prove work eligibility rights?

Hi, I have applied for Tier 1 General extension on Jan 30, 2013 and have provided my biometrics on 14 Feb, 2013.

Unfortunately, I was made redundant in January and I am looking for a job.

My query is, while I am awaiting response (passport and BRP) from UKBA, how do I satisfy the requirement of prospective employers that I have a legal right to live and work in the UK?

Visa Acknowledgement letter or BRP letter from UKBA usually accepted as a proof from visa application currently been reviewed.
