photo specifications

I have taken passport size photo graphs from snappysnaps today as per the visa guidelines in the site. Overall the photos looks ok. However i have few questions.

1) Photos are not too sharp, but clear. May be because of matt print.
2) size of head including hair is 35 mm in height instead of the maximum 34mm.
3)Photos are clear but not very bright
4) Very thin white line on one side due to the way it was cut

Due to the above issues i am thinking of taking another set of photos.

1) Can any one who applied recently please let me how strictly the UKBA follows the photo specifications?
2) If they reject the photos due to some reason will they allow me to get another set in an hours time or they reject the application altogether?
3) Is there a photo booth in Croydon PEO.
4)Best place to take the photo, Photo booth or studio?

It would be great if some of you can share your experience.

Just follow the photo guidance and also check the examples of acceptable images in guidance.

I have seen in this forum,where photos have been taken at Supermarket photo Kiosks. They have been accepted.
